On your wedding day, I want to capture the feelings, the mood, the emotions, the calm and crazy moments and all the details that make your wedding unique. I love starting the day with the small details, your shoes, florals, invitations, etc. Throughout the day I will help guide you in front of the camera but will also let you be in the moment with your partner! I consider my wedding photography style a combination of journalistic (i.e. capturing candid moments) mixed with effortless and genuine looking poses for the more formal portraits. I like to allow for moments to unravel naturally and add in posing direction as needed to bring emotion to life in your photos.
One of the reasons I like to communicate so much with my couples is so that I can really get to know what your story is all about so we can portray the true nature of your relationship in your photos. If you are a wild, live life to the fullest type couple, we'll get shots with tons of energy and passion in them to showcase that. Maybe you guys are more modest and would like to break away from the crowd and capture some quiet intimate moments together. I believe your wedding photos should authentically reflect you and your partners personality, whatever that may be!

For all of my wedding packages, you will receive a gallery of unlimited, fully edited images. Unlimited meaning I will choose the best images of every moment that we capture together while filtering out duplicates, eye closed, awkward in between shots. etc., as a ballpark you can expect anywhere between 20-80 image per hour of shooting, which will vary with the timeline of the day.

I think your engagement photos are so important! You probably don't have professional photos taken all that often so why not break the ice, get comfortable in front of the camera and relish this special time in your relationship by capturing meaningful images of the two of you outside the pressure of your big day. The photos are great to use for save the dates, invitations, and other wedding decor.
It's also the perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other better, we'll share some laughs and I'll get a feel for what is most important to you when capturing your story. By the end of our session I want you feeling comfortable and like you can be yourselves in front of me!
I am always game for turning engagement sessions into more of an adventure and plan some sort of activity that you both enjoy so it is actually a FUN time where you make some new memories. It's a great way to skip the unnatural fear of posing and be yourselves, it makes for the most genuine images too. Whether that's something like having drinks on the dock at the cottage, a sunset hike on your favorite trail, or paddling in a canoe over at Killarney, anything you can think of, let's do it!

Planning wise, both leading up to and on your wedding day, think of me as an extra bridesmaid you didn't know you needed. I specialize in intimate weddings so you may not have a wedding planner, and that's okay - I don't mind pitching in! I'm here to help you organize & plan your day, and bounce all your ideas off of. I really enjoy being kept in the loop during decision making and am happy to add suggestions on things like the best moments for the bride & groom photos, timing for the ceremony, where should altar be positioned to get the best photos at your venue, the list could go on!
I also really love to receive photos of your dress, shoes, the venue, invites, etc. as the details for you day start to come together. I want to get excited with you and having an idea of the elements of your day will get my creative juices pumping and allow me to start envisioning amazing photo opportunities we will capture together!
